Those parts of the Companies Act 2006 not currently in force will be introduced in a number of further stages over the course of 2008 and 2009. This talk provides an update on the parts already implemented, with a discussion on any issues that may have arisen to date. We then focus on the parts which are due to be implemented in October 2008, and give practical guidance on how businesses should be preparing for these changes, looking in particular at:
- Reduction of capital.
- Directors’ duties.
- Financial assistance.
- Private and public company articles.
