Know your limits: when contracts go wrong (30 September 2008)

Anyone involved in negotiating commercial contracts needs to be aware of the principles governing the damages which can be recovered if something goes wrong. This session is aimed at business people who may find themselves considering potential liability at the drafting stage or dealing with damages issues on a breach. We will be examining the topics of liquidated damages, consequential loss and the extent to which liability can be limited or excluded, and suggesting various strategies for dealing with the issues they raise.
